DR. CHIOMA C. NWAUBANI, BCGP, CMTM
CEO I Founder
Dr. Chioma Cynthia Nwaubani is a board-certified geriatric consultant pharmacist and the CEO and founder of PharmD Live. She is passionate about innovative approaches in personalized medicine and pharmacogenomics. With her multidisciplinary background, Dr. Nwaubani has extensive experience in identifying growth opportunities and delivering innovative solutions to meet business needs.
Prior to founding PharmD Live, Dr. Nwaubani delivered high quality and cost-effective medication management and chronic care services to patients in various healthcare practice settings. In that role, she leveraged clinical expertise to provide big data insights and piloted several programs to reduce hospitalizations from adverse drug events. Dr. Nwaubani witnessed a myriad of preventable medication-related problems and many other issues related to the convergence of complex medication therapies and patient comorbidities in these settings. Through these experiences, Dr. Nwaubani resolved to have an enormous impact in the transformation of healthcare services to effectively manage preventable medication-related problems across the continuum of care.
Dr. Nwaubani has extensive experience working with high risk patients. She has worked within a wide variety of pharmacy practice settings, the managed care pharmacy industry, hospital inpatient pharmacies, accountable care organizations (ACOs), post acute care facilities (PACs), MTM organizations and retail pharmacies.
Dr. Nwaubani graduated with honors from Temple University School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research. She is a Rho Chi Society alumna and an active member of The American Society for Medication Therapy Management (ASMTM) and American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP).
Dr. Nwaubani is married with 3 adorable kids. In her spare time, she enjoys still life and nature drawings, reading, and photography.
BOB KAPLAN, MHA
CIO I Co-Founder
Bob is responsible for providing oversight for all aspects of information technology, information security, data and analytics at PharmD Live.
Bob is a seasoned healthcare professional who provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment. His responsibilities encompass a wide variety of strategic technology issues, including governance and policy, resource allocation and information technology protocols.
Prior to joining PharmD Live, Bob held Chief Information Officer positions with Audax Health Solutions (now Rally Health), Future Genesis, NCQA, WebMD, and PHP Healthcare Corporation. He started his career at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, in 1976 as an Administrative Resident where he installed the hospital’s first information system. He went on to design the nation’s first healthcare electronic claims interchange, and one of the first healthcare patient engagement social networks. Bob holds a Master’s degree in healthcare administration from the George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Engineering Science from the University of Maryland.
Bob is married, has a son, and he is a second generation native of Washington, DC. He is a popular author of historical fiction novels, and an ardent Corvette enthusiast.
Jene’ Hong is an accomplished and results-driven senior finance executive,certified public accountant (CPA) and consultant with more than 25 years of experience in a variety of industries, including biotech and pharma. She has achieved exceptional leadership success in both public and private sectors where she has served as CFO, President, COO, and CEO. She brings a valuable blend of expertise in financial management, capital raises, mergers and acquisitions,Sarbanes Oxley, business development, IT, HR, client relationship management, corporate strategy, board governance, compliance, risk management and operations. She is adept at rebooting businesses which have plateaued or need a complete turnaround.
Jene’ was awarded the Enterprising Women Business Champion (2018) and Mentor of the Year (2016) from the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC) ; Influential Woman from KC Business Magazine (2012) and the Courage Award from Win for KC (2017). She has published articles in Thinking Bigger, Ingram’s, and KC Business Magazines. She served as advisor to Think Big Partners , Braden's Hope and as board member and treasurer for Poetry for Personal Power . She served as board member of TriKC and board member and president of the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, Kansas City.
Jene’ earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. She holds Series 6 & 63 Securities, annuities and health and life insurance licenses. Jene’ is a 14-time Ironman finisher and a 7-time Team USA Member in Triathlon.
DR. PAUL WILLIAMS
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Paul Williams is the chief medical officer at PharmD Live. He provides clinical expertise, leadership, and oversight in the design and implementation of innovative disease-management products, clinical workflows, data analytics, overall strategic direction, outcomes research and strategic partnerships.
Dr. Williams is a board-certified family practice physician with an emphasis on primary care and preventative medicine. He has more than 25 years of private practice experience and has served in several healthcare executive roles. He brings in-depth and extensive knowledge of the drivers of healthcare costs and has been instrumental in the development of strategies and solutions to manage costs for several healthcare entities, including payers. Prior to joining PharmD Live, Dr. Williams served as medical director of the Department of Human Services, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; physician advisor at Accretive Health and associate medical director and chairperson of pharmacy and therapeutics at Capital Blue Cross. His subject matter expertise includes population health management, medication adherence, drug utilization review and policies, formulary development and management, evidence-based clinical reviews, prior authorization, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) reviews and a full range of primary care services, including inpatient hospital and long-term facility care.
In addition to his duties as the chief medical officer, Dr. Williams cares for patients in his private practice. Dr. Williams has particular interests in the areas of clinical quality and safety, clinical effectiveness and patient experience. Additionally, he believes high quality and effective care leads to lower costs and better health outcomes.
Dr. Williams completed his medical school training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and his family medicine residency at the Polyclinic Medical Center of Harrisburg (now UPMC Pinnacle Health System). He is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and in Quality Assurance and Utilization Review by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.
DR. KAYTLIN KRUTSCH, BCPS
Director of Population Health
Dr. Kaytlin Krutsch is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and serves as the Population Health Director for PharmD Live. Dr. Krutsch completed her residency in corporate managed care, integrating the concepts of cost, safety, and efficacy across pharmacy and business. Dr. Krutsch has served in multiple roles within the hospital, corporate, and community arena as operations and project specialist, clinical pharmacist, and team leader. She recognizes the importance of building relationships across all healthcare disciplines to improve patient care.
Dr. Krutsch has designed and implemented multiple data collection projects that enable healthcare providers to improve prescribing habits, apply evidence-based literature to practice, and perform cost effectiveness analysis. Dr. Krutsch exhibits a passion for bridging the gaps between corporate leadership, healthcare providers, and industry in order to provide optimal, cost-effective care to patients and their families.
Dr. Krutsch received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Texas Tech University Health Science Center and a Masters in Business Administration with a certificate in Health Care Organization Management from Texas Tech University. Dr. Krutsch also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University. She is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, a Rho Chi alumnus, and maintains certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, Immunizations, and Diabetes Management.
VP, Sales & Business Development I Co-Founder
Ellery Plowman is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing PharmD Live’s business development and sales growth strategies. Prior to joining PharmD Live, she led executive and entrepreneurial teams to gain new businesses across the software, technology, government and real estate industries.
With strong knowledge in leadership, client management relationships and strategic marketing, she has grown start-ups and extended the markets for corporate organizations.
As a creative visionary, Ms. Plowman has pioneered the expansion strategy for startup organizations and has helped improve the performance of existing businesses. Joining PharmD Live has been instrumental to fulfilling her lifelong dream of improving the lives of patients seeking care through an effective chronic care and medication management system.
Ms. Plowman graduated from Radford University with a B.Sc in Business and has accumulated numerous sales awards by exceeding annual company goals. She is recognized as an industry expert for developing new streams of revenue and serves as an active member, speaker and panelist in several trade organizations.
VP, Marketing & Sales I Co-Founder
Allyson Ruscitella develops and executes marketing strategies and communications for PharmD Live. Expanding the market footprint and developing new business opportunities are core responsibilities. Ms. Ruscitella will also fortify the company’s digital presence and manage the corporate brand.
Prior to joining PharmD Live, Ms. Ruscitella served as Director of Sales and Marketing for MC Dean and Virginia Investment Partnership, Director of Sales for Landmark Communications, and as communications consultant to a Fortune 100 corporation.
Working at the nexus of healthcare and technology to enhance patient outcomes has been a long-term career goal. Launching startup organizations has been her passion since 2006. She has earned national accolades for creative and innovative advertising campaigns and a Google certification in digital marketing.
Ms. Ruscitella earned her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in 1992 and her graduate degree from Catholic University in Washington, DC in 1995. She serves as board president of the award-winning nonprofit Mobile Hope.
VP, Marketing & PR I Communications
O’nile started as a marketer, advertising specialist, inspirational speaker, radio host and producer in New York City. After earning his MBA, he was recruited for marketing, education, and business consulting positions in South Korea, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Recently, he has provided digital and traditional marketing strategies, business training, branding and media services to a variety of businesses; most notably, an advertising agency and Foodics, a tech startup in the Middle East.
While at Foodics, O’Nile led the marketing, customer service and business development teams to new heights with substantial growth and expansion throughout the Middle East.
Having lived, worked and studied in seven different countries, O’nile brings a unique and internationally informed perspective. He seeks to arm PharmD Live with actionable intelligence to establish and expand the brand footprint.
CRAIG A. PARNELL
SVP, Sales & Business Development
Craig Parnell has more than 30 years of marketing experience with large and mid-sized pharmaceutical companies, advertising agencies and consulting firms, and has served as CEO of his own company. Mr. Parnell has specialized in marketing oncology pharmaceuticals and has launched market-leading cancer treatments at Novartis, Celgene and Pharmacyclics. He became a digital expert through his work at Johnson & Johnson.
Mr. Parnell has developed a unique view of the healthcare system’s future through his work with industry-leading CEOs and experience in senior management. He earned a Masters degree in Communications Theory and has a passion for the life sciences.
